That all you need to do is \u201cbe real\u201d and audiences will swoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But \u201cbeing real\u201d is not a strategy, it\u2019s a default setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And when everyone\u2019s defaulting to the same script, it\u2019s no longer real, it\u2019s noise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s the heart of my new book, <em>Hook, Line, and Sinker: How the Power of Storytelling on Social Media Can Reel in Your Audience<\/em>. It\u2019s not some soft, fluffy guide to \u201cbeing your true self online\u201d. It\u2019s a field manual for the attention economy, where clicks are currency and your content has 1.7 seconds to earn it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I wrote this book because I was sick of the same regurgitated advice about storytelling.
