1) Please can you introduce yourself and provide a brief history of your digital marketing journey?
Hi! I am Ritza Trivedi, Head of Marketing for APAC at Pearson. I have been a marketer for 20 years now and witnessed the transformation of this space, from digital being an ‘also’ in the media mix to becoming the lead channel in most plans. As technology and platforms have continued to evolve, the challenges around and need for regulation have kept us all on our toes. It genuinely feels like #Day1 every single day.
2) What aspects of the ‘’How Data and AI can create highly personalised experiences’ session at DMWF Asia on the 26-27 February 2025, are you most excited about as a speaker?
It’s a subject close to us at Pearson. We have a saying ‘While AI cannot replace Marketers, Marketers who don’t use AI will certainly become replaceable’. As commercial marketers, it’s critical for us to embrace technology, deliver at scale and make measurable impact on business. I am looking forward to learning from my fellow panelists the magic they have created with AI and exchanging notes on challenges and impact.
3) What marketing advancement and trend are you most enthusiastic about in the digital marketing landscape?
AI, Creators and Communities! The rapid change of evolution of this space especially with the generational shifts is very interesting and exhilarating.
4) What single piece of advice would you give to a friend working in the digital marketing space?
Stay curious and embrace change but never lose sight of your ‘North star’.
5) Lastly, could you share what is your favorite marketing campaign and why it resonates with you?
I love campaigns that combine Insights and Technology or leverage communities to deliver a par excellence experience and bring alive their role in consumers’ lives. I have a running list of ‘Work I wish I had done’ and some inclusions in that list are – Burger King Traffic Jam Whopper, Campbell Soup Directors’ Cut, AMEX Open Forum, Hinge.
